RESEARCH AND INTERNSHIP
MRC Internship opportunities offer a holistic learning experience for under graduate and post graduate students undergoing multi-disciplinary programmes. The interns are exposed to the UDA framework, its challenges and opportunities. They are guided through detailed literature survey and encouraged to formalize their specific project topics. Specific knowledge / skilll required to undertake the project are facilitated along with supporting data. Every intern at MRC is mentored to publish their work in appropriate conference or journal based on the efforts put in by them.
Certificate and Letter of Appreciation will be awarded to the students on successful completion of the internship with satisfactory achievement of all objectives. Interns showcasing outstanding performance may be offered research associate position, post completion of their degree on specific projects being pursued by MRC.
Our interns are exposed to career oriented, project based learning with specific focus on real world problem solving. It is driven by the UDA framework in the tropical littoral waters. PhD students could also join to identify their research problem. The deliverables are in terms of the four broad modules as given below :-
- Knowledge : The topics will include, Underwater Domain Awareness, Underwater Acoustics, Signal Processing, Shallow Water Acoustics, Statistical Signal Processing, Data Science and many more based on the participants requirement.
- Skill: Matlab, Python, Research Methodology, Communication Skills, Technical Writing and Algorithm Design.
- Thinking Ability : Project Formulation & Execution, Data Analytics, Maritime Strategy and Geopolitics, Business Development and Policy Formulation.
- Expertise Enhancement : The knowledge & skill development along with thought leadership will ensure generation of expertise within the organization, to take forward new ideas on their own.
More details of the overall concept of UDA framework and the engagement methodology for internship can be downloaded here
The Internship aims at providing participants with a deep understanding of Maritime Domain through Mini Projects and Expert Talks. The participants are encouraged to build an abstract and present their project, which the participant can further develop into a Research Paper in future.
Registration formThe Maritime Research Center provides 6 Months Internship program, where each intern is provided with a research problem and guided into writing one or more research papers on the same. The Intern will be eligible for fellowship at MRC post completion of the internship.
Registration formThe Maritime Research Center provides 1 Year Internship program, where each intern is provided with a real-world research problem and guided into completion of the project, making significant contribution in it, and writing one or more research papers on the same. The Intern will be eligible for fellowship at MRC post completion of the internship.
